Preceptor Orientation

Is this your first time as a preceptor for a Year 5 UBC Dietetics student? Thank you for dedicating your time to training dietetic students!  We hope you find it to be a rewarding experience. This page provides orientation resources for new preceptors, and experienced preceptors wanting a refresher.

Start Here!

The Preceptor Orientation Checklist can help you prepare for your student’s placement.  Start with a self-guided orientation using the checklist. Additional tools to support you are posted in the “Preceptor Resources” section on the left side of this page.

Join the Preceptor Interest Group Listserv to ensure you receive notifications about orientation sessions that are coming up. If you are unable to attend a session, slides will be posted below, annually in September.
