Practice-Based Student Research

In year 5 of the program, dietetics students undertake practice-based research projects as part of the research module. Research projects are completed within BC health authorities and are supervised by practicing dietitians.  The research module is overseen by a research advisory committee made up of UBC dietetics program staff and practicing dietitians.

Research Exchange

Year 5 students present their research annually at the Research Exchange. Each student research team will give a 3 minute presentation highlighting their practice-based research project and its key findings. Presentations will be followed by a moderated panel discussion, allowing audience members the opportunity to engage with Year 5 students on their research topics.

Additional guidelines about this event can be found in the Research Exchange Guidelines posted in the Research Module.
