All prospective applicants should carefully review the Dietetics Major section on the UBC Academic Calendar. Follow the steps below to complete your application.
How to Apply
Refer to Admission Requirements to complete this step.
If you aren't already a student in this program, you must apply to UBC to enter the program, no later than January 15 in the year of application.
Academic transcript:
- Applicants who are presently enrolled in a UBC degree program do not need to submit official transcripts. Only apply to change your program via the Applicant Service Centre (See the full instructions here).
- Non-UBC students have to submit the transcripts to UBC undergraduate admissions. If you have additional transcripts to submit, please contact LFS Student Services (lfs.advising@ubc.ca). All official final transcripts should be sent to UBC Admissions at the end of the current academic term.
- High school transcripts are not required in the application.
Prior to assembling your online application, obtain a Dietetics Application Number here. This process requires you to have a campus-wide login (CWL), UBC student number, and UBC student email address. If you have not yet obtained these, referring to Step 2 above, please apply to UBC to enter the B.Sc. in Food Nutrition and Health (BSFN) Program.
In some rare cases, applicants may not have CWL accounts yet. Please contact dietetics.admissions@ubc.ca for help.
- Please follow this UBC DIetetics Undergrad Admissions - 2025 Application Guide to prepare your application.
- Please use this MANDATORY template-UBC Dietetics Undergrad Admissions - 2025 Written Statement to write your statement.
The Dietetics Major application must be submitted online by 4 pm PST on January 31st, 2025.
We are not able to accommodate individualized declined applicant advising.
There is no official waitlist for the program, as it is rare for applicants to decline offers of admission. If a vacancy should arise, an offer of admission will be made to the highest-ranked student on the list of declined applicants.
